Ingredients:

  • 4 beef hamburgers
  • 4 sesame seed hamburger buns
  • 4 ERU Prestige Smokin’ Hot Slices
  • 2 red onions, thinly sliced
  • 125 ml water
  • 125 ml white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ cucumber
  • 80 grams arugula
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Put the sliced red onion into a jar.
  • Heat the water with vinegar and sugar until it boils and the sugar is dissolved.
  • Pour the boiling mixture over the pickled red onions, close the jar, and let it cool. After a little hour, you can use the red onion.
  • Slice the cucumber into thin slices.

Method

  • Heat a grill pan over medium heat and brush with some olive oil.
  • Season the hamburger with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Place the hamburger on the grill and cook for about 4 minutes on each side for a medium-rare burger.
  • Add ERU Prestige Smokin' Hot Slices to the burger in the last minute to melt.
  • Meanwhile, cut the hamburger buns in half and lightly toast the insides on the grill until they are crispy.
  • Assemble the sandwich with arugula, pickled red onion, the cheeseburger, 3 to 4 slices of cucumber, and top with some more pickled red onion. Place the bun on top and serve.
