Recipe with: ERU Cheese Spread Light
Cucumber maki with a Gouda cheese topping
Sushi is now one of the most popular international dishes. With this cucumber maki with a topping of melted Gouda cheese, you can offer variety on your menu.
Ingredients:
- 150 grams sushi rice
- 1 cucumber
- 450 ml water
- 50 ml sushi vinegar
- 200 grams ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light
- 4 nori sheets
- 1 tub Shiro Purple

Preparation
- Rinse the rice under the tap until the water runs clean.
- Cut the cucumber into 25 cm matchsticks without seeds.
- Cook the rice in salted water, cool and season with sushi vinegar.
- Spoon the ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light into a piping bag.
Method
- Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat.
- Put some rice on the nori sheet and make a layer of rice up to half of the sheet.
- Place a cucumber stick in the middle of the rice.
- Pipe ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light along the length of the cucumber.
- Use the sushi mat to roll the nori sheet up into a tube.
- Cut the sushi roll into 6 pieces, garnish the sushi with a dot of ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light and a Shiso Purple leaf.
