Recipe with: ERU Cheese Spread Light

Japanese Udon noodles with poached cod in a creamy cheese sauce

Introduce your guests to these Japanese Udon noodles with sesame oil and pak choi. Add poached cod and a creamy cheese sauce which deliciously complements the dish.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 litre fish stock
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 pak choi
  • 4 cod fillets or other white fish
  • 2 tablespoons sunflower oil
  • 400 grams Udon Noodles
  • 100 grams ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light

Introduce your guests to these Japanese Udon noodles with sesame oil and pak choi. Add poached cod and a creamy cheese sauce which deliciously complements the dish.

Preparation

  • Toast the sesame seeds in a frying pan until they are golden brown, stirring all the time.
  • Heat the fish stock with the sesame oil and bring close to boiling.
  • Finely chop the pak choi.
  • Poach the fish in the stock in around 10 minutes.

Method

  • Fry the pak choi in the sunflower oil and add the Udon noodles.
  • When the noodles are hot, add the ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light and heat for another 2 minutes.
  • Arrange the noodles over 4 plates.
  • Place the poached fish next to the noodles.
  • Garnish with the toasted sesame seeds.
