Japanese Udon noodles with poached cod in a creamy cheese sauce
Introduce your guests to these Japanese Udon noodles with sesame oil and pak choi. Add poached cod and a creamy cheese sauce which deliciously complements the dish.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 litre fish stock
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 pak choi
4 cod fillets or other white fish
2 tablespoons sunflower oil
400 grams Udon Noodles
100 grams ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light
Introduce your guests to these Japanese Udon noodles with sesame oil and pak choi. Add poached cod and a creamy cheese sauce which deliciously complements the dish.
Preparation
Toast the sesame seeds in a frying pan until they are golden brown, stirring all the time.
Heat the fish stock with the sesame oil and bring close to boiling.
Finely chop the pak choi.
Poach the fish in the stock in around 10 minutes.
Method
Fry the pak choi in the sunflower oil and add the Udon noodles.
When the noodles are hot, add the ERU Cheese Spread Gouda Light and heat for another 2 minutes.
Arrange the noodles over 4 plates.
Place the poached fish next to the noodles.
Garnish with the toasted sesame seeds.
