Double cheeseburger with cheddar cheese, tomato and lettuce

Ingredients:

  • 2 red onions
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 egg
  • 800 grams minced beef
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 4 sesame hamburger buns
  • 8 ERU Slices Cheddar Naturel
  • 4 Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 100 ml BBQ sauce

Preparation

  • Slice 1 red onion and crush the garlic.
  • Mix the mince with onion, garlic, salt and pepper.
  • Add the egg and breadcrumbs and mix well.
  • Shape into 8 burgers, each around 100 grams. Cover and leave in the fridge to rest for 30 minutes.

Method

  • Cut the lettuce leaves into strips.
  • Cut the remaining onion into rings and the tomato into slices.
  • Grill the beefburgers.
  • Top the beefburgers with the ERU Slices Cheddar Naturel so the cheese melts over the meat.
  • Toast the buns under the grill on the cut side for 1 minute.
  • Spread BBQ sauce over the bottom half of the buns.
  • Stack two burgers on the sauce.
  • Garnish the buns with the red onion, lettuce and tomato.
  • Place the top of the buns back on.
